PGI Golf Tournaments for Literacy

PGI NB 2010
Wednesday, August 18 & Thursday, August 19
Royal Oaks Moncton, NB

Founded in 1986 by former broadcaster and journalist Peter Gzowski, the Peter Gzowski Invitational (PGI) Golf Tournaments for Literacy have raised more than $11 million dollars for adult literacy in Canada.

Today, the 13 tournaments are played in every province and territory from coast to coast to coast.

In 2002, the Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick became the benefactor of the proceeds raised by the events associated with PGI NB. With the involvement of LCNB, a new structure emerged based on an organizational model that included corporate and community leaders now known as the PGI Cabinet.

With this strengthened foundation of support, PGI NB has become the most successful PGI in the country establishing records for the most revenue raised by a single tournament. Its success is directly attributable to the PGI Cabinet and the enthusiasm and passion that everyone involved consistently demonstrates for the cause of literacy.
